“Dum inter homines sumus, colamus humanitatem” -Cicero

As long as we are among humans, let us be humane.

Hey! My name is Noorie and this is my blog. Some people might think learning Latin is a waste of time. I’ve been learning Latin for a little over four years, and it has benefitted me a lot in my daily life. This blog is dedicated to showing how my knowledge of Latin can be used in situations today. My tagline on this blog is “reviving latin”. I picked that because most people think that Latin is a dead language. This is me trying to prove to them that no language can actually die, especially not one as ancient and involved as Latin.

I am currently a student at The Hill School. Reading, writing, exploring new things, learning about other cultures, and traveling to new places are a few of my passions. My favorite book right now is 1984 by George Orwell. I love to play tennis and squash in my free time. I’m currently learning Mandarin Chinese and Latin, while trying to teach myself French, Italian, and Welsh on the side, at home. I also know how to speak fluent English, Punjabi, and Hindi. My favorite country that I’ve traveled to is Italy, but, one day, I would like to visit Queensland, Australia and scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef. I would also like to bungee jump the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia. All photos used on this blog are mine. I also have a travel blog, check it out here. All copyrights of both, my writing and photos, are reserved to me. That’s all for now.
